BALI: Land Use Framework

Today, the land use framework was published, setting out the government's vision for the environment, energy, food production, and our homes and communities. BALI welcomes the framework, and is calling on government to recognise the role of landscaping in delivering the priorities set out in the framework. Well-landscaped areas can deliver on quality homes and infrastructure projects which support environmental outcomes including water management and biodiversity enhancement in both urban and rural communities.

BALI will be working with government to ensure that the land use framework is just the beginning of the discussion around the role of landscaping in land use management, and will be further engaging on the upcoming horticulture sector growth plan on the importance of environmental horticulture.
